There has been a Hare Krishna Temple located in East Hartford, Connecticut since 1978. It was first located in a rented house on Silver Lane, and after one and a half years (February 1980), a new building was purchased for the Temple at 1683 Main Street. The presiding Deities of East Hartford Temple are Lord Jagannatha, Lord Balarama and Lady Subhadra, and also Sri Sri Gaura Nitai.
