From time to time many ISKCON sanyasis & preachers kept on visiting Haridwar for preaching. It was in the year 1992 when HH Nava Yogendra Swami Maharaj, one of the senior disciples of Srila Prabhupada came here with few devotees and started regular preaching program for local residents and visitors. Soon he was able to get a small place for preaching having two-three rooms and a small lawn. The resident devotees started temple program, nagar kirtan, book distribution and congregation development. In 1994, HH Nava Yogendra Swami Maharaj arranged for a better temple building. Book distribution, youth preaching and congregation development are its main preaching programs.
